Our Story

My family used to be in the tea business, so I’ve always had access to really great tea. After marriage, Anjum quickly upscaled her daily Indian Chai with my Assam tea. We settled into this privilege and took our deeply satisfying cups of tea for granted.

But along came Covid, and like much else at that time, the supply stopped and I couldn’t match the quality anywhere closer to home. Decades after I left the family tea business, it was time to ‘come home’ and start again…

96º sources only the best teas from around the world, and we want to make sure they are accessible to all. We’ve taken care to ensure just the right amount of tea is in each teabag, and gone to great lengths to ensure the tea we buy, tastes the same as the tea you try!

We hope you enjoy them as much as we do, and would love to receive any feedback you might have.

Children's Education

No iamge

With 431 million children, India has the largest child population in the world. Nearly 40% of India’s children – 172 million – are considered vulnerable to various forms of harm and exploitation.

The Child Opportunity Fund aims to protect vulnerable children in India from a cycle of abuse and exploitation. Their holistic approach tackles the root causes of issues, such as children trafficking, labour and marriage, that can lead children to lose their childhoods, and often their lives
