Responsibly sourced ingredients
All our teas grown outside of the EU and Japan are purchased from estates that have been certified by independent agencies such as the Rainforest Alliance and Trustea, for their working conditions and practices.
At 96˚, packaging is a critical building block in ensuring we meet our commitment of delivering an exceptional cup of tea, each and every time. Recyclability, which is a core value of our business, runs across all aspects of our packaging
Standard paper teabags are packed at great speed, and can only pack fine tea particles that can flow smoothly through these machines without ‘clogging’ them. Hence the quality of the teas used in these tea bags can never be good.
Our corn starch pyramid teabags are packed at low speeds, and contain large leaf and whole flower teas. Furthermore, their generous size provides ample space for the leaves and flowers to unfurl and fully infuse.
And as our pyramid teabags are plant based, they don’t release any microplastics and can be commercially composted with your food waste.
Tea is incredibly delicate and is sensitive to light, moisture and the aromas around it. Any of these would dull even the finest blends and make our effort in sourcing great tea, worthless. That's why each of our tea bags is intentionally sealed in its own fully recyclable, airtight envelope.
These envelopes act as a protective shield, locking in the tea's freshness whilst keeping out anything that could compromise its quality. Thanks to these envelopes, we are able to ensure that the tea that you taste at home, tastes exactly the same as the tea we purchased from the estates… a perfect cup, each time!

We're deeply committed to minimising our carbon footprint, and achieving this is part of the core values of the business. We've partnered with SmartCarbon to help us understand our Scope 1 and 2 emissions which we offset by supporting a solar energy plant in Rajasthan, India through the Gold Standard offset programme.
We appreciate this is just the start of our journey, and we’re now working on calculating our Scope 3 emissions, which will help us to fully understand the end-to-end carbon impact of our business.
