Sencha is Japan’s most popular green tea. Historically, it was loved by Japanese monks who revered it for its unique qualities of giving them energy and focus, whilst remaining calm and relaxed. Today, it is intrinsically woven into the fabric of daily Japanese life and apart from its cultural heritage, is seen as simple good daily healthy practice. 
Sencha is unique in that the bushes grow mostly in direct sunlight. We select only the youngest leaves in the first flush of the season. These are then flash steamed to prevent oxidisation before being rolled and dried. The resulting tea is refined, refreshing and revitalising.

Refined Sencha
